Orderliness brings comfort. When the sunlight filtered into a clean, beautiful, and organized living room, I feel like a child with a good mother. Someone cares about my well-being and has provided for my needs, except that now, as an adult, I have become my own good mother.
Perhaps the chief reason that order is so important is that it chases away fear-the fear of being out of control.
